Teams of students will compete in our annual pre-Thanksgiving "Turkey Trot Relay" this Friday. All Parents and guardians are most welcomed to attend. Please call the school's office for additional information.

Wilson's first "Western Day" is this Friday, Nov 13th. All Warriors are encouraged to dress as if they're from the "Old West". Western apparel includes items such as: Jeans, cowboy boots, western shirts, cowboy hats, square-dancing dresses, etc. Please note: If you wear jeans, you MUST also wear a Western-style shirt or you will be sent to the office to call home.

YEE HAW!!!

Congratulations to both the 7th and 8th grade girls’ volleyball team for a successful season. The 8th graders finished undefeated with a 4-0 record. The 7th graders finished with a 4-1 record.

Winter sports season will be around the corner with the girl’s softball and boy’s basketball. More information will be coming soon. Make sure you have a 2.0 with no F’s so you will be eligible.

Wilson's annual School Beautification Day is scheduled for this Saturday. All Warriors are invited to take advantage of this excellent opportunity to build-up your Community Service hours. See your Advisory teacher or any school administrator for additional details.<br>

Update: (11/02/09) Only the first 45 students who turn in their parent permission slips will be allowed to participate this Saturday, November 7th. Students who can not make it or did not turn in their papers in time can still earn Community Service hours by donating plants or painting materials. See Mr. Bourland for more information.

Students who have achieved 100 percent of their AR goals will have a "Free Dress Day" on Thursday, October 29, 2009.

Imperial County's very first Aviation Day will be held at the Imperial County Airport this Saturday, (Oct. 24) from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM. Admission is free for everyone. There will be airplanes, airplanes, and more airplanes. There will also be, according to Spokeswoman Jennifer Donatt, free airplane rides for kids aged 8 - 17. Get the details right here .

Come One, Come All!

Our annual book fair is here! Please have your parents visit the book fair located in the library when they come with you for your parent conference. Lots of good books for sale at good prices. If parents can't visit with you, have them send money!

The Book Fair midway will be open Monday through Friday this week from 12:30 - 4:30 PM.

Warriors, as Monday will be Picture Day, students will have a "Free Dress Day." Please remember that shirts, sweaters, and other items of student clothing should not display any type of graphic that would be inappropriate for school wear.

Students, for the next week our school can get money for your family's Vons Receipts! Vons Supermarket will make a donation to Wilson that equals 10% of all Vons receipts that are dated between September 18th and October 13th.

Please bring those Vons Receipts to our school and give 'em to any teacher. Learn more about this program by clicking  here .

A friendly volleyball game between Wilson's staff and a squad representing McKinley Elementary was held yesterday evening inside Wilson's gym. Wilson's teachers and support personnel upheld the Winning Warrior Way by overcoming Mckinely's team after a spirited match.

Update  (10/02/09) In spite of the best efforts of our gallant team, the Wilson Faculty was handed its first defeat of the year.... at the hands of a pickup team from Harding Elementary.
